Sales information

Paid checkout is not open. No offer to sell a license is made on this page.

The seller must be clear.

Before sales open, each checkout must identify its actual seller, address, contact information, product and applicable terms. A payment processor is not automatically the seller; a Merchant of Record may act as a reseller.

What an order will explain.

  • The license and compatibility being supplied.
  • The full price, currency, taxes and payment method.
  • The time and method of delivery.
  • License duration, renewal if any, and update entitlements.
  • Refunds, withdrawal and remedies for a non-conforming product.

Website and Microsoft Store.

A website order and a Store order can have different sellers and order-management routes. Published terms must identify the actual channel and not promise a Microsoft Store listing that does not exist.

No automatic waiver.

A general acceptance of terms must not be treated as the specific consent or acknowledgement needed for immediate digital delivery and any resulting loss of a withdrawal right.

Before confirmation.

The buyer must be able to review the order and understand that the final purchase action creates a payment obligation. The order confirmation must preserve the applicable terms and required acknowledgements.
