Features
A few good tools. Ready when you need them.
Capture a screen, explain a detail, copy the words, and get back to what you were doing.
Start with the right capture.
Capture an area, a monitor or a window. Repeat the last area, add a delay, or capture a longer page with vertical scrolling.
- Area capture gives you a quick preview, with editing and output actions close at hand.
- Scrolling capture supports automatic and manual scrolling. Results depend on how the source app scrolls and draws its content.
- Open an existing image or paste one from the clipboard when the screenshot already exists.
Make your point.
Add arrows, text, rectangles, ellipses, freehand marks, highlights, counters and spotlights. Select an annotation to adjust it, move it, duplicate it or change its order.
Keep the selection. Keep the original.
Copy or recognize a selected area without cropping the whole document. Use the selection handles, keyboard nudges and smart adjustment to refine the boundaries; apply Crop only when you mean to change the image.
Copy the words. Leave private details out.
Local Windows OCR recognizes text and QR codes. Text-only pixelation and removal use recognized word regions, so check the result before sharing: OCR can miss words, especially in small, rotated or low-contrast text.
Mind the gap.
Use the automatic ruler to inspect objects and spacing, pick a pixel or average color, compare contrast, and zoom in for a closer look. A saved measurement remains an editable annotation.
Bring captures together.
Add captures or image overlays, arrange them on a canvas and give the result a backdrop. Pin a reference above other windows, adjust its opacity, or compare two aligned images.
Choose where the result goes.
Copy, save as PNG or JPEG, drag an image into another app, or upload explicitly to your own S3-compatible storage. Klips does not provide a screenshot hosting service.
